Burn Boot Camp has opened at 101 President Ave., a franchise new to the SouthCoast, thats geared toward women with 45-minute workouts and complimentary child care during most sessions.

Owner Christina Shemenski said Burn is a different concept than the usual gym. Visitors wont find a single treadmill on the floor. They will find camps each day that work different parts of the body for overall fitness.

No two workouts are ever the same, Shemenski said. Every day is different. It just keeps it interesting.

Each workout burns between 500 and 700 calories.

Burn trainers offers exercises that can be done in more than one way, so everyone can tailor your workout to your level.

Burn opened on July 15 and already theres a community of Burn sisters, Shemenski said. The camaraderie members have found keeps people accountable.

Some recent workouts on the Monday to Saturday weekly protocol listed online were: full body strength and conditioning, core conditioning, metabolic conditioning, 1,000 rep whiteboard challenge, lower body partner circuit, and athletic conditioning.
