Grenade Carb Killa Go Nuts
This vegan protein bar is aimed at children, and they contain a remarkably low amount of sugar only 2 grams. The flavor is also praised by most reviewers. The 40-gram bar offers 10 grams of protein per bar. The product also gives 6.5 grams of fiber per serving.
There are 10 grams of fat, which is moderately high. However, all the fat included is natural, and it will only benefit your health.
Most of the fat and protein comes from nuts, which are also the source of many rare vitamins and minerals. Overall this bar is a great choice for children of any age.
The Gfb Gluten Free Bar
240 calories | 10 protein | 31g carbs
This bar has really nice packaging, but obviously it doesnt compare so well to other popular bars.
It does have a nice simple and short ingredient list. The protein mainly comes from brown rice and pea protein. While the bar is not organic as a whole, many ingredients are organic.
Oh yeah, the Gluten Free Protein Bars are also gluten free . Heres how I broke them down:
- Protein content Only 16.7% of calories are from protein. Theres 1.5 times more sugar than protein.
- Taste score I tried a few flavors and they actually tasted quite good if you dont mind a very firm texture. The flavor and sweetness are both good , and the texture is solid. The only reason it didnt get a perfect score was that theres a bit of an aftertaste .
- Cost The bars themselves are on the cheap side, which is why it still scores okay here despite having only 10 grams of protein per bar. Good for a casual bar, but not for anyone with any fitness goals.
Sunwarrior Sol Good Protein Bar
228 calories | 17g protein | 26g carbs
This is the best overall certified organic vegan protein bar . They have a lot of fiber and are low sugar, using artificial sweeteners instead .
Its protein comes from a combination of brown rice, pea, and quinoa protein to give a nicely balanced amino acid profile.
Heres how it scored:
- Protein content With 29.8% of its calories coming from protein, its pretty average when it comes to protein content.
- Taste score Everything about this bars taste was okay, but not great. It was a bit chalky, and dry, not not terribly so. Its flavor was also fine, but nothing special. Its easy to eat, but not really enjoyable.
- Cost The cost per bar is pretty good, and looking on a per gram of protein basis doesnt really change the cost compared to other bars. Its pretty good value for your money.

A Final Thought On Vegan Protein
Many vegans and vegetarians are lacking in proper amounts of protein in their diet. Ive selected these bars with this protein delta in mind. If your goal is purely to lose weight , dont expect these bars to accomplish this goal on their own. Take steps to add more protein into your diet first, relying on protein bars or nutrition bars as a snack or post-workout boost.
Aim for about 0.5 to 0.8 grams per pound of body weight, with a little more depending on your activity level.

What Makes These Homemade Vegan Protein Bars Healthier Than Store
I always read the labels of store-bought granola/protein bars hoping for clean ingredients but I am left disappointed. There are a couple brands out there with clean labels but honestly, most of the time, I find store-bought granola bars have WAY too much sugar, oil, tons of added artificial ingredients and weird additives. Id much rather make my own. These are refined sugar free, theyre gluten-free, dairy-free, plant-based, and soy-free. What more could you ask for?
